Hi Folks, One of my friends has just lost a large amount of uni work from her memory stick. The memory stick *was* her backup device but after a recent laptop failure it is the only copy of her work. I have no further details on the circumstances of the loss nor do I have time to research/test myself which piece of software may help her. Can anyone recommend something please. I would be very grateful.
This lot: http://www.krollontrack.co.uk/appear to be recomended on another list I'm on. Don't expect it to be cheap though.
Google says "keep your data in three different places" or something like that...
If your going to do it yourself, you need a Linux box that *will*not* automount the device - or try to. And the first thing you do is make an image of it using 'dd' (or ddrescue)
