Wife wants to be able to handwrite on pdfs, word files etc and then print the amended document. Handwriting recognition would be a plus. Neither ipad nor android has handwriting recognition that I could find, that leaves windows but.. Two questions 1) Has anyone used a graphics tablet for handwriting recognition with Windows (I gather that as long as you buy a graphics tablet eg Wacom then windows 7 comes with the software built in for handwriting recognition) etc http://www.the-graphics-tablet.com/handwriting-recognition.html (I presume you can print to pdf and email the completed document) 2) Has anyone used a graphics tablet with Ubuntu / android for handwriting recognition? http://sourceforge.net/projects/linuxwacom/ She is happy with a five year old tablet pc but it weighs a ton and would prefer open source I've looked at www.evernote.com but that seems to require special paper for handwriting recognition There are web articles that state that if you run a wacom tablet on any windows 7 machine then handwriting recognition comes free: but there do not appear to be any shops around here..
