[LUG] Num Loclk key - again

I mentioned in an earlier email that with my new distro, Mint 10 KDE, 
I had set the num lock to switch on at boot but it appeared that it 
didn't work. One comment was that KDE does have problems with num lock.

Today I happened to try to use it for the first time and found that in 
fact the numeric keypad is set to numbers, as requested, but the light 
is off!! When I pressed the num lock key to get the light to come on 
the pad reverts to non numeric.

Oh well, I have to remember that when the light is off that actually 
the num lock is on.

Computers, don't you just love 'em!!
