As this is a new computer and I am not very savvy about hardware I am not sure how it is set up. To my surprise I found that the output listed only 5. So I thought, check them with my USB memory stick. I tested all six ports and they all worked! So now I am wondering, if all 6 ports are present and working why did lsusb show only 5? Any one any thoughts on this? Thanks NeilDo you have any internal USB ports or any un-used USB headers on the motherboard? It may well be that some of the ports are actually part of an integrated USB hub. Grant.
Oh well, never mind, they all work which is the important part I suppose. I was a bit puzzled, that is all.
So far so good with the computer. I am certainly learning a lot about all the changes over the last three years!!
