There is a small cost, but I have found it to be really good. The current version is 8.1.1 and you get any updates for free until version 9 comes out. I was on version 7 and the upgrade cost me about £8. I have found the author te be very helpful with any queries or problems. Previously I had looked at many such programs and felt that TNG was the best. Just a personal recommendation.
