Hows everyone doing? My cars more or less stuck right now - I park it in a small private car-park which is up a steep and windy little hill - which is currently a sheet of ice )-:
A nice Dartmoor webcam, if you've not seen it is: http://www.dartcom.co.uk/dartcam/index.php and the BBC travel pages are always good to check: http://www.bbc.co.uk/travelnews/devon/ http://www.bbc.co.uk/travelnews/cornwall/These have links to local highways agency webcams too. (The A38 in Devon looks good this morning, but no much traffic is about!)
Last year our local co-op ran short of a few things, as the delivery lories were delayed, but nothing drastic. Fortuantley we can walk to most local shops for basics.
I've had a few customers internet lines gone down due to the phone lines being covered in ice - (3G to the rescue where possible!) It's always good to keep an eye on your ADSL line stats if your router allows it - check the noise margins and sync speed - they're the best way of telling any issues.
And looking out the window now, there's a few more flakes of snow about with more forecast for next week, but the forecasts to seem very changable right now!
Keep warm - I am :) http://unicorn.drogon.net/officeFire.jpg Cheers, Gordon -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG http://mailman.dclug.org.uk/listinfo/list FAQ: http://www.dcglug.org.uk/listfaq
