The gimp's various windows offer the choice of which of my screens they appear on (the desktop is not continuous across them, can't just be dragged - driver limitations). Is it possible to tell the gimp when it starts to put the main image screen - its own desktop - on one screen, and the toolbox etc on the left? A short shell script to start it up thus, perhaps, and calling that rather than directly the gimp, or automation via Python or whatever within it once it is running? I operate 4 desktops on each screen, which may be excessive, but a refinement would be to bring the gimp windows up on a particular desktop on each screen. -- A -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG http://mailman.dclug.org.uk/listinfo/list FAQ: http://www.dcglug.org.uk/listfaq
