The cardboard is actually treated with a fire retardant so if it catches fire it goes out, I guess this is in case of extremely exceptional circumstances, like someone poking a flame thrower at it. Sending computers to developing countries as i do from time to time I just find it fascinating that you could just gut the system boxes and discard the cases (which are heavy and take up room). Tom.
