The only annoying thing is the Save As/Export nonsense. Why can't I export from Save As and vice-versa? Seems like a step backwards to me so I'm hoping that doesn't make it to 2.8.

Has anyone had a play around with GIMP 2.7? Thoughts?

I think the idea behind the single-window mode was to prevent scaring windows users with and would be good but after looking at the beta I get the impression this was 'designed to fail'.
I think the save as/export has been annoying since v 0.1 - should be a given really. 'You don't want to do it like that'!!!
