Great. I'll try and find out some more details over the weekend. From Torquay it's about 2 hours 30 mins (depending on traffic). IIRC it cost about £25 in fuel in my rather uneconomical Honda Prelude (that was including a car full of stuff, wife, daughter and an Argos BBQ). I'm happy to drive down there for the day, maybe if a couple of us from Torbay go down we could maybe take 2 cars. Not sure about how far it would be for the folks in North Devon, I presume maybe around the same sort of distance?
It is a great day out, for me the big thing was seeing the Penguins but there is lots for bird lovers in general (my wife is a big fan of Parrots). As well as being able to have your picture taken with a Penguin, there is also two flying bird shows (one in the morning featuring an American Bald Eagle, an Owl and a funny bird that runs across the grass, and another in the afternoon featuring Parrots and Cockatoos). There's also feeding time for goats and sheep (I found they don't like being told they taste good in a kebab).
Oh and did I mention the nearby pub with real ale (this last week they had a guest Ale from Torbay :-D)
