Great init. I posted something last night about that but it didn't appear, not sure what happened.
Still it's got to be a good thing. Finally a royalty free codec to compete with H264 which can be implemented in the HTML5 standard.
I see that Adobe are going to incorporate it and Microsoft will support it assuming you have the VP8 codec installed.
I see Google have also gone for a modified BSD license, seems to be a BSD license with a clause about patients or something (kind of like a BSD answer to GPL3?).
