Hi folks,It appears a BT Exchange in North Paddington has had a fire (caused by a flood) and not only is it affecting a whole load of customers in London, it is also affecting customers in other parts of the country.
I got notification from my main VoIP tranist people at about 10:30 this morning, so it's been on-going... Flood, Fire, then the fire brigade, then power was isolated to the exchange at around 11am. I've not noticed any real drop in calls though, so I guess they've been able to work around it - however customers who've had their number ported in from BT who were on that exchange can't currently take incoming calls.
I guess it was a pretty important exchange though.
On the comments an Entanet customer in Birmingham has also reported problems, there is more on the Entanet NOC at http://noc.enta.net
That one was different - and I had a single 21CN customer (In Gloucestershire) offline for a while due to that, but that seems to be OK now.
