Booting problems?
Try adding the following to the kernel line of GRUB (or isolinux), one
at a time to see if they work:
vga=789
acpi=off
hpet=disable (this is the fix for my newish computer when trying to
run Linux 2.6.26-2.6.27)
noapic
nolapic
There are all sorts of others but these generally fix bootup problems. Any luck?
