I used the service http://www.writetothem.com/ some time ago around April to complain about the nightmare connectivity issues my parents were experiencing at prazefarm.co.uk http://www.flickr.com/photos/hendry/3433311255/ The issue was finally resolved months ago, when the third BT engineer spotted the fault and repaired it. That didn't stop Ontel/Talktalk from charging 100+GBP erroneously for an earlier call out in which they didn't find a fault. Never got that money back. A couple of weeks ago, to my surprise I was called up a BT openreach director Bob Challacombe from Praze Farm and he explained he just tested our line and we could get 5meg down. Hmmm, just a few months late! He admitted he received a high priority request from Dan Rogerson my MP to look into our particular problem. I thanked him of course, though exclaimed that I was perplexed by the several month delay. I went on to ask him about the future on connections in Cornwall. He said we could expect a "21CN" roll out in which symmetrical 5 meg lines will be offered to even properties like my parents. He said this is funded by some project or other and I could find more information on the Internet about it. I've done some candid searches, though I can't find any good sources to track this roll out.
