Mint, based on Ubuntu... in order to get DVDs to play on my Ubuntu I needed to: + install libdvdread4 + run /usr/share/doc/libdvdread4/install-css.sh It would seem that libdvdread4 does not install everything that is necessary, bit it does give you the tools to do so.
