How easy is it to get the MS license back from them?

I believe you have to send the machine to the service centre in
Plymouth (or is it Plympton?) and they will remove the licence key
sticker and wipe the hard drive and then give you a refund. IIRC it
is about £30 for Windows Vista Home Premium, so presumably the same
for Windows 7 Home Premium or XP Home.

So no just rejecting the EULA - Paul this may be why the ARM netbooks
are not out MS is a big big bully! If the above is true then it probably
costs them a lot more than £30 to do - but makes it just a little
inconvenient for the customer - given that the OS rings home it
shouldn't be hard for MS to work out it hasnt been used and who it was
sold through to authorise a refund.
Oh hang on MS might be using their own software and just cos LEO could
do that 50 years ago....

But ARM does not run windows, that does not stop other devices from
being out that run Linux,
ARM doest run Windows - which is why anyone in the chain that doesn't specifically benefit from arm sales is discouraged from selling them. I'm not quite sure why but they are seen a 'low margin' machines. This may be MS de-marketing or for some reason ARM is so easy to make that there is a lot of competition. Or it could be that realising that if Wintel domination is removed then the need to upgrade every couple of years evaporates. What does W7 do for you that w3.1 COULDNT? Theres a lot of people in the industry going to loose out when most people find out 1GHz/1GByte can do everything they need.
