hi all,got my flame proof suite on so here goes,,,prolly a simple question (well, tis if you know) anybody know how to get one's own website to display center screeen on a wide screen display ? it displays o.k. on a normal screen and have seen sites that are central on my wide screen so know it can be done,,, but how ?? i pity website designers the grief they have to go through !! (you guessed, i struggle)bas. --If your site is table based, add align="center" attribute to the table tag. ie:<table width="800" align="center"> ... </table> If your site is <div> based, use CSS: <div id="mainpage" style="margin-left:auto;margin-right:auto;"> ... </div>Alternately, put the style attribute contains into an external CSS file to be included in the head section of your site:#mainpage {margin-left:auto;margin-right:auto;} Regs Martin
hi and thanks Martin,Have got my site central now on my 22" (Linux) and also test the site on a 15" windows but for some unknown reason have lost my adds on the windows system viewing with ms explorer or firefox but will look again later,, run out of time again !
