Nothing new - I've been doing that here for over 6 months now. This: http://unicorn.drogon.net/cutie.jpgConsumes 4 watts. It's a 500MHz AMD Geode and can address CF or a real IDE drive. (44-pin connector)
I don't see any real magic in what they're doing there. (Apart from the programming)
