Hi folks, This made me chuckle... http://www.theregister.co.uk/2009/09/10/pigeon_v_broadband/It seems an ISP in South Africa sent 4GB of data to a remote site 60 miles away via carrier pigeon and also over their broadband connection and the pigeon beat the ISP.
Okay, disregarding that on an ADSL connection it probably would take a good many hours to send 4GB (assuming upload speeds of between 256KBit/sec and 512KBit/sec) which made it a bit pointless, it was still a pretty funny way of transferring data.
I see actually there is a standard for this and it has been done back in April 2001...
