Works fine with Skype and Ekiga usng SIP. I've not tried running an Asterisk server on it, but that shouldn't be a problem, as it runs on the gumstix, which is very low performance. The only performance issue is the codecs. Those are negotiated, so if you don't have the performance you just select codecs that run on the hardware you have available. Netbooks are good enough to run pretty much any codec I would imagine. I use a USB soundcard for the audio, as I get sick of having to reset and test the audio settings every time I use VoIP. I regularly flip between 2 laptops and the netbook, so keep the soundcard with my headset.
