I use Heart Internet (www.heartinternet.co.uk) and they have a basic hosting account for about £30 a year and it gives me plenty of space (about 5GB or so) and loads of bandwidth (20GB a month or so). IIRC that includes a domain and 1,000 individual mailboxes too. I'm sure though you could find something much cheaper, 1&1 have some rather cheap offers, IIRC they start from about £1.99 a month which gives you 250MB web space and 3GB bandwidth. You'd have to buy a domain on top but they sell .co.uk domains for £2.49 per year (I'm pretty certain the minimum is 2 years).
