Being a nice simple home user with no-one but 'Er indoors to worry about I signed up to Googlemail and Yahoo mail. I forward my Yahoo mail to the Google account and then download from Google to Kmail. I delete the Yahoo mail after forwarding but keep my Googlemail as a backup. I go into Google about once a month and have a clear out. I only use Google if I'm away (SHE won't let me have a netbook.) As I have 2 computers I synchronise from the master to the slave using Unison. A bit of a kludge but it all works reliably enough for me not to bother setting up a server. Life's too short....
