Upgrading ubuntu is nice, and apt-get is excellent, ok you get the occasional issue but I don't think this is ever that serious. they do raise a few valid points, regarding upgrading software but for the most part as long as you can install various updates, I am sure if some minor issues can be sorted Linux can continue to be a success. I do agree with is sometimes there is too much choice, and this can cause issues. e.g sound drivers. But that is something that can be solved in time.
