Sure bugs do sometimes get through but a bug like this is really bad. Reminds me of a bug I had in Mandrake a few years back (something like version 5) where I would install the distro fine no problems, setup a user account but it wouldn't let me login, it just didn't accept my password. In the end I simply went back to Windows. I don't think I've ever really got on with Mandrake/Mandriva since.
