I subscribe to the goverments supply mailling lists - just the free one, but this came up in the "you need to pay us money to get the full details" bit: 1. Redhat Linux Servers Entry Date: 23/04/2009 Reference: Not provided Type of document: Contract Notice Country: UNITED KINGDOM Nature of contract: Service contract Supply, install and on-going support of redhat linux servers Opportunity Type London 2012 Supply Chain (Private Sector) Nature of opportunity Services Description About the buyer: The awarding authority is an independent London based Software Development and IT Consultancy firm, specialising in bespoke software development, tailored to our clients needs. The company has been in business for many ... So I'm guessing "London 2012" is something to do with the olympics. No idea which govt. branch is is, or what external contractor is working on it, but hey ... If anyone wants to know more it's: http://www.supply2.gov.uk/ Although you need to pay to get details of contracts out of your region and it's stupidly stupid in the way you need to use some stupid 6-digit code to specify which areas of supply you can supply. Stupid goverment system written by a stupid contractor at some point no-doubt.
