Hi I am trying to find out if anyone else out there is experiencing this issue, reported on ubuntu 8.10 and 8.04.2 http://www.subspacefield.org/~travis/keyboard/index.html may be helpful regarding how linux handles keyboard input Essentially Right now I have the caps lock key on (the led is on so i know this is the case) and yet, its producing lower case in X If I turn the caps lock off, i get CAPS Opening a terminal in X produces the same problem at the prompt. Howeverf doing ctrl-alt-f1 entering text at the login screen its normal, so back to what it should be doing. This suggests some sort of problem with X, I assume a terminal window, gets keyboard input passed to it via X. Is anyone else having a similar issue ? It can be fixed by restarting X, but it would be good to try and iron out the cause, so someone can fix it THanks Paul -- Paul Sutton www.zleap.net Support Open and ISO standard file formats ISO 26300 odf http://www.odfalliance.org Next Linux User Group meet : Feb 7th : 3pm, Shoreline Cafe Paignton -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG http://mailman.dclug.org.uk/listinfo/list FAQ: http://www.dcglug.org.uk/linux_adm/list-faq.html
