There used to be a plugin for PHPBB that allowed messages posted to the list to go on the forums and vice-versa. If this isn't something that people like the idea of (PHPBB != Security IME), then creating an account and subscribing Nabble (http://www.nabble.com/) to the list gives a web-based interface as well.
