Hi Rob and Gordon Just coming back to you on this. Space is a consideration at the moment so I am going with a Shuttle. But I have got a second hand one minus psu and hard drives. I'll get the make and model to you and if you can source one for me I'll go for that along with a couple of hard drives. However, I will still need a pc as well. Space a problem still. I have a new office but it is in another office so I basically have a desk with an internet connection! I need to set up the sever running on raid 1 with a Linux box connecting to it. I will use it to set up and run Sage both as vmware and also as an alternative. There are some ideas out there that suggest ways of substituting Sage on the Linux. We will also be setting up a lamp set-up and lookin at developing some in-house thing or maybe sugarcrm.... The idea is to create a test bed in order to look at migrating this office over fully to Linux and away from Sage etc. The desktop will need to run some photo editing packages etc. and run videos but not compile. I will also have a mac sat connected to the whole thing! I want to also try to run rsync to a separate box. I need to understand whether it is possible to sync data with a backup system so that if the first box falls down it can be a simple matter to switch to the new one. So quotes on the above etc would be useful. If we need to take this off-list now please email me direct unless folks are interested in how the set-up fares. Thanks. -- Kind regards Rich http://www.cregy.co.uk Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him.
