Just seen this on The Register... http://www.reghardware.co.uk/2008/06/03/acer_launches_one/ It's the new Acer Aspire One. It's got a 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU, 512MB DDR2 memory with one slot free, 1280x600 8.9" screen and running Linux, a 3 hour battery life which with a bigger battery is extendable up to 7 hours!!! Not sure how it compares to the EeePC with regards to size/weight but if they are at the suggested £200 mark for the Linux version, I'd certainly be interested in buying one. It looks like the Linux version has an 8GB SSD with an SHDC slot so you can stick in a whopping big SD card to extend the storage.
