I think you said you were? Does kaffeine show a DVB option on the main screen where you choose your media? If it doesn't you are missing the devices. For satellite they are under /dev/dvb, I don't know what the devices for digital terrestrial tv are though. Can you plug a tv ariel, digital feed, into the card? If so it might be an idea to try this before looking at the feed from your machine. There are scripts around for creating devices for dvb, linuxtv.org and linuxdvb.tv are good places.
