If you can resist the temptation wait a while - theres a lot more of these 
things in the pipeline and, if  the current version doesnt do all you want it 
to then wait - it'll save you money and frustration in the long run.

There are other OS' available so they probably come with the 'standard set of 
compilers thought I should imagine there are usable compilers for the eeepc 
as is somewhere.
