The govenrment is planning an ID card which will give away all pertinant information to criminals in one go - irrelevant of what you are using at home. You may wish to give this info away earlier with M$ software or even messing with your Linux security settings but a recent hack test seemed to suggest Ubuntu was pretty 'safe' in its standard setup. But seriously your greatest fear should be for your rubbish and 'social' mining - giving info to people they dont need, not checking who you are giving your details to on the phone etc. Tom te tom te tom -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG http://mailman.dclug.org.uk/listinfo/list FAQ: http://www.dcglug.org.uk/linux_adm/list-faq.html
