Interesting: denemo (0.7.5) (frontend for lilypond) and lilypond
(2.10.25) are in Ubuntu repositories so I downloaded them just to see -
not quite up my street. However, Rosegarden (1.5.1 - also in URep) looks
just the thing for my daughter. She came home full of a Windows
programme at school to make "Garage" music. It looks like this may be
possible with Rosegarden.

Here's hoping it might entice her! One more she can use (Supertux - she
worked through all the levels; OOo Witer) if it does what she wants.
