The latter can be a pain in the bum, especially if we (when I worked for NTL) had a customer who had updated their website and the old version was stuck in the web-cache. However www.tremonthouse.co.uk loaded fine for me first time, which suggests DNS has updated here already and the web-cache is OK. With other ISPs as Charlie says YMMV.
