Hi All
The original GMail email was genuine and sent from me but the 'LUG list' was certainly *NOT* the addressee!   The posting on the LUG list was a great surprise to me!
As a LUG newbie I would like to know more about the GnuPG signatures referred to.   Can someone point me to a ref source please?

The From: address is not necessarily accurate - now if everyone used
GnuPG signatures and the mailserver could be configured to only allow
sigs in the DCGLUG keyring . . . .

IMHO, there is every chance that gmail is being targetted by spammers
as a "friendly" From alias just like hotmail and msn before it.
