I have spoken to Paul Hudson at Linux Format. These were the main points : They are not planning to produce an archive disk of magazine articles at any stage. This is due (apparently) to them having a large international customer base (they can't just do it for UK subscribers). They also think that all the content would end up on torrent sites. They pointed out that most of the magazine cd's contain PDF's. They are happy for us to put together our own disc for the group as long as it is not going to be sold on to anyone. Obviously, not all LUG members are subscribers - They didn't mention if this would be a problem - maybe they just assumed all members would be ? I have gathered together all the PDF's that I could find - almost 1 gb of PDF's - about 318 files articles / features. I could go on to make a list of these files and add in any others that the rest of you might be able to find. However, if anyone has any online storage with in excess of 1 gb spare, perhaps we could just have a shared area that we could all upload any PDF's that we have to. If we end up with a comprehensive enough collection, we may still be able to go paperless. Let me know what you think ? As Julian said before, the older articles may not be worth keeping as the advice would be out of date.
