Don't know if anyone watches bbc click online but for the last 2 weeks I have been unable to watch to 256k streaming video of the programme. I usually watch it using firefox and then open in external player with windows media codecs as I found this gave me a better picture than realplayer. Recently though I can only view it if I select the lower resolution stream. I installed latest restricted codecs (dated Nov 4)& also helix player as I couldn't open it using the realplayer stream either. Oddly bbc news 24 will stream quite happily. I thought perhaps sky was blocking access in some way to the higher stream but this works in windows with realplayer & not with windows media player. Again pointing to a wmv problem I cannot play the higher stream on my smartphone via wi-fi but the lower stream does. Can't install realplayer on my phone to test those streams. I am guessing that the higher stream has been changed in some way so could someone else test it. Have now got the ability to play the 256k stream with realplayer after I restarted Linux & firefox but it seems odd that the windows media stream won't play in Linux or windows even though other news streams will on either os. If it's just click not working I can email them and see whats going on.
