Have a look at my handout (modified for the day) on the page below. I think it will cover some of your points. Please feel free to add, modify or otherwise tear apart my version. I referred to the DCGLUG pages which are not exactly new user friendly yet. I suppose I could create a new page (/wiki/starthere was mentioned) from the handout and then let everyone hack it. It does lend itself to a basic page with links to expand points. > > Perhaps we can discuss further on Sunday. Indeed, this would be good. I have learned that in the LUG a few people might get involved in specific areas or even none at all. Naturally we have our own enthusiasms. It is good to get something significant for new users. The priority is of course to find them first and then nurture them. I have done a bit more publicity and am hopeful we'll get more coming on Sunday. I wrote to all the secondary schools this end and had only one response from a MS Academy which may give an inroad to the A-Level students shortly. I wonder about writing to all the Student Unions in the country. The WCBN did not publish anything based on my press release but offerd to do something for the future - hence my interest in thinking about this and my appreciation for the many comments from members which could help lead us somewhere. Perhaps Grant might wish to take this up? He may be able to come on Sunday.
