Some hardware may not work at all or may be unstable due to in most cases no help from the manufacturers, despite the Linux kernel team offering to make drivers for free. Then again, all other hardware works better in Linux than it does in Windows, and all of it out of the box (Windows not having its own drivers for my network card drives me nuts after a format). 2. Not all Windows software will work under wine, due to again no help from Microsoft, software vendors or anyone. 3. You may need to work around people sending you broken M$-only file formats. I think that's the complete list. -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG http://mailman.dclug.org.uk/listinfo/list FAQ: http://www.dcglug.org.uk/linux_adm/list-faq.html
