My comments on those I have viewed so far - http://www.getgnulinux.org/ Nice, clear and straightforward. Stuff explained simply. I like this one a lot for basic intros. You can click on the images for more detailed (but still readable) information. http://www.control-escape.com More detail, but it is quite out of date in parts - the installing stuff refers to Win95/98 and FAT partitions, which most people will not have. Using FIPS? Noooooo.... Seriously going to confuse people. http://www.davefancella.com/articles/introtolinux.html Again, out of date - last update 2004. http://www.tuxs.org Some slightly out of date info (e.g One CD can be downloaded to try Kubuntu live and another to install it.) but useful. http://polishlinux.org/ A bit "bloggy" for my tastes to be honest. Didn't really appeal to me. http://www.linfo.org/newbies.html Part way down page - Study Linux! Study?? That would put folk right off I reckon. Anyway, thats as far as I have got so far. If I was new to this lark, then the getgnulinux site would be what I would be looking for to supply basic, readable information.
