They got cheaper, but they never achieved volume sales, so not much. I saw 24 port for a few hundred, but at the time 24port 10/100 switches without PoE were breaking the 100GBP barrier, so they were still a lot more. I believe we still figured out we could buy 24 individual PoE devices and a normal switch, for less than the 24 port switches, which I guess says everything about volume manufacturing prices.
