I heard they were doing SuSE but if they are going for Ubuntu it can only be good for getting patches into Debian packages and then on to a variety of other distros. That could make installing GNU/Linux on any modern laptop much easier than it has been in the past. All we need now is for Ubuntu to stand firm on getting those patches under the GPL and not being stupid with regard to any patent issues that Dell may try to push onto Ubuntu ala MicroVell.
