I have, sitting in my office, a twin 3GHz Xeon box with 3 x 70GB 10k rpm SCSI drives, redundant PSUs and 4GB RAM. Would make a lovely box for running Xen VMs on, thinks I. Unfortunately what it doesn't have is a BIOS. According to the beep codes it's gone walkabout and I need to install a BIOS recovery floppy. Finding a floppy, drive, cable and a windows machine (with a floppy drive) to run the DOS binaries to create the recovery disk has proved tricky. Shame the CR2032 battery on the motherboard is reading 0.00V, too, especially since I don't have a spare lying about.
