The one big spanner in the works are vendors who completely change the internal workings of a device and don't update the look, model number or even version of the device. Many wireless network manufactures have been guilty of this. I have seen situations when i know a device is supported (or at least a driver is in progress) and then discovered a totally different chip set to expected. It is also usually very difficult to find out what version something is with out opening the box and often plugging it in. -- Robin Cornelius http://www.byteme.org.uk -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG http://mailman.dclug.org.uk/listinfo/list FAQ: http://www.dcglug.org.uk/linux_adm/list-faq.html
