The various options in the View menu do not change the order of the bookmarks, they only change the order as shown in the Organise Bookmarks-window. If you want to sort the bookmarks alphabetically, go to Organise Bookmarks, then right-click on any bookmark or bookmark-folder and everything within the same layer will be sorted alphabetically. That's all. It means that, if you use lots of sub folders, you'll have to do this for every sub folder. (But then, there might be some geek who wrote a Firefox extension that does that for you.) I hope this helps. I'm new here, by the way. Though I'd say hello. Hello. I recently moved to Exmouth, Devon from the Netherlands and stumbled upon this group the other day. It's nice. My proper computer is still back home in the Netherlands, which means I'm currently living without Linux, but I can't wait for the day that I can work with a proper OS. It might be true that "W" has improved a lot over the years -I have never had it installed on my computer before- it's still miles and miles behind. And not just from an open source point of view.
