Hey, I'm trying to share my printer, connected to my linux box, with a windows machine. The printer is set up and working in debian and I have edited the location section in /etc/cups/cupsd.conf to allow from 192.168.1.* . I have also uncommented the octet streaming bit (although I can't remember the exact location of this file). When I attempt to add the printer under windows it simply says windows cannot connect to the printer: the URL I'm giving windows is http://debian:631/printers/photosmart (where debian is my hostname and photosmart the printer name). Any ideas? Jon -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG http://mailman.dclug.org.uk/listinfo/list FAQ: http://www.dcglug.org.uk/linux_adm/list-faq.html
