I have been looking through the processes with ps -ef and I found out that one called whiptail (what a name) was all about the Sun agreement. So I killed that one and all which referred to Adept. Now Adept will run but in read only mode. I get the message 'Database locked - Adept Manager. Please close the other application before using this one.' Well I can't find any relevant process now and I don't know how to sort out the package database. Can anyone help please?
