Anyway, I had already set up links as you suggested in /usr/lib/firefox/plugins and also /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox/plugins and that is what did not work. I notice that I also have libjavaplugin_oji.so in ~/jre1.5.0_9/plugin/i386/ns7-gcc29 so I have tried to add the extra link. When I try I am told that the file already exists. Well yes there is already a link set up but to ns7 not to ns7-gcc29 so I cannot understand that. When I tried to delete the old link I was told 'Access denied' so if I can't remove the old link and I can't create the new link I am a bit lost. Can anyone help please?
