This is why as users of OSS / Free software it's important to get the word out there is a viable alternative, in any way we can, I know meetings are in the process of being organised which is good. With a bit of luck before our poor hard pressed businesses in devon / cornwall go out and waste thousands on licences / hardware for Windows they will learn there is a choice. And take a good hard look at this choice, if they find it hard to get staffwe have to be there to offer help in the short term, while we convince local colleges to get in the real world. There is always swap here, as I said BCIT are producing Linux trained staff, so get a few of them over on SWAP, that would work really well, esp as I have a few contacts at BCIT via the vancouver Lug. Hopefully I can do something with the Vancouver community network, regarding advocacy, then upon my return to the UK get a lot more pro active, there are posters up already about Vista, so perhaps we need some to promote OSS.
