-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Well, I think I've found my solution (a solution for a non-existant problem perhaps?): I've installed Thunderbird and enigmail. Google will still hold a copy of all my mail (so I've got a back-up :-)) and also will allow me to access it from anywhere as before; Thunderbird, and perhaps in the future other clients, will allow me to experiment with desktop clients and see if I prefer these or not. As for enigmail, well it will sign my e-mails for me stopping people from spoofing me (as unlikely as this seems!), although I'm still a little sketchy on some of the details of PGP style protection; for example, I'm guessing I now need to publish my public key to a website somewhere so people can actually authenticate the messages I send? Also, I can also use OpenPGP to encrypt files? Well I guess I need to read the documentation!
